ESET NOD32 Antivirus is famous for its prominent ability in detecting Trojan and other sorts of online threats. And this Windows protection is based on the frequent upgrade of its databases. Each time you reboot your computer you will probably get new features when the program updates are applied to the currently installed version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus. But, some customers complain the upgrading process possibly failed to complete so that they have to end the auto-upgrading of ESET manually. What's more, there may also be some customers complaining ESET NOD32 Antivirus burning up too many system resources when they install it on an old PC.

 

If you are usually facing problem to uninstall or remove the ESET NOD32 antivirus like the new one 6 or the previously released v5, or if you want to totally remove the unwanted NOD32 from your computer or if you want to uninstall the current version of NOD32 and then need to put in another antivirus program, this article gives some detailed options to remove your ESET NOD32 antivirus form laptop and/or other devices. Just follow or select one of these simple methods below.

There are THREE ways to uninstall NOD32, either through the uninstall routine given by ESET or using the built-in uninstaller given by your current version of Windows operating system. In any event, before uninstalling NOD32, ensure the following things: 1)you're now the logged in system admin; 2) all the other programs are properly saved and closed.

Method 1: employing standard Microsoft Windows tools

STEP ONE: Just click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel then double-click the Uninstall a program icon. (For Windows XP end-users, you should click on Start > Control Panel then click the Add or Remove Programs icon).

STEP TWO: Locate NOD32 from the programs list and then you click the provided Uninstall/Chage.

Method 2: Uninstall NOD32 simply by ESET removal tool

You click Start > Programs > Eset > Uninstall. (If you're running a XP OS, you should click Start > All Programs > Eset > Uninstall

OR:

1. Download NOD32 removal tool by clicking here [Download NOD32Removal].

3. Install the Nod32 removal tool using your admin rights.

3. After finishing uninstallation by following the auto options and auto-wizards, restart your machine.

Method 3: Remove NOD32 personally

This method is the most complex amongst the methods above. Apply this method ONLY, when every one of the above methods fail to work:

1. Restart your Windows computer and run Safe Mode: to do this ,you press the F8 key when your machine's rebooting and then you choose Safe Mode (with Networking).

2. Click on Start menu, run Search to manually detect and remove ESET-related items; then press Home key + R key, type "regedit" and hit Enter key of your keyboard.

Important notes:

#1: Following either of the above methods will result in a dialog box asking you to confirm the uninstall. Choose Yes to them.

#2: At the end from the uninstall, you will receive a prompt to reboot the device. Select "Restart Now" and click "Finish" to reboot your device. NOD32 will be then uninstalled from your Windows.

#3. If you have encountered Windows Installer Error, please first fix it automatically.

#4. If you're running any version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus without its supplied uninstaller, please reinstall it or force uninstall ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
